I always thought the true story lied somewhere in the middle of what Luigi tells you and what the Super Luigi books say as well as the added bits from his companions. Taking what makes sense of each version of the story and putting them together to create the true story.

I got a theory that sense is a parallel world from the main series, luigi here probably never dated Daisy. Even though I dislike paper jam due to it's blandnese but them establishing pm's world takes place in the book of that make sense. I though have another theory though, if you notice the intro to pmttyd the book there looks nothing like the one in paper jam, most likely that world of pm is spread across multiple books kind of like a book novel series.

Played the game as soon as it came out, and i must say I m as much blown away as I m disappointed . On the wow side: story and characters world-building, notably : Barrett, Cait Sith, and seeing all the locations in an astounding level of details : Under Junon, Kalm, Cosmos Canyon ...QUEENS BLOOD On the Meh side: the open world , the chicken can ,Chadley, the multiverse I was really on the fence, will SE cave in and alter the OG story , or will they double down and stay true to it? but it turns out they are trying to do both with the joker card of multi dimensional universe. So yeah. I felt a bit deflated at the end of the game. Can't imagine Romeo and Juliet would have a better play if Shakespeare had done mutiple endings and said "take up what version mayst thou find pleasing lol" or maybe that s just me

I agree with 90% of what you said except for world building. FF16 went overboard on it. By far they went 10x further than any other RPG. I do agree this was not necessary. I think FF16 is a solid 8.5 out of 10. The biggest problem with this game is one. They needed to pick a lane. Ether be a RPG or be an action game. This could have been accomplished by just make elements and status effects to be a thing (this would have brought strategy on what weapon and armor you used)to lean more into a RPG or take away most of the weapons and just have 6 weapons (one handed sword with shield, two handed sword, axe, bowe, two small swords, ect…). This would have lean more into action. Second, they brought MMO side quest to a single player game. Not a good decision. They had side quest that should have been main quest and main quest that should have been side quest. You swap that out and get ride of the rest, you fix the pacing problem. If these two things got fixed it would have been a 10 out of 10 game. Just my two cents.

So I actually found this from your subreddit post. I usually pass on these type of videos since it usually comes off as shilling surface level videos but the algorithm being as fickle as it is, it's hard to get yourself out there, so I respect the hustle. I actually thought the video would be a surface level glance at the game but it was actually really good. Thanks for another thorough and entertaining board game review! I've almost picked this one up in the pursuit of another Halloween game. But for some reason I'm never motivated to get a roll and wrie off the shelf when friends are over. Maybe it's worth the chance after all.

I really hope they add this to the TTYD remake as either a dlc or a something you unlock for beating the game. It would be funny to see Nintendo play up Luigi being an unreliable narrator. That would definitely be a fun interesting experience. I’m really happy that we’re actually getting a remake of TTYD. Just like with Mario rpg remake NOBODY believed this would happen because Nintendo bad everything they could to distance themselves from the game. I REALLY hope that this means Mario will start being creative again. Hopefully we get a Mario rpg 2.

I'm pretty sure Luigi's fans of his role of grass were very real; the Dazee that followed him only did so because they _loved_ his role of grass so very much. And I fully believe his story of fighting the King, then a bigger bad, and rescuing the Princess - it's just the Bigger Bad turned out to be Minister Crepe, and the princess he fell in love with already had a fiancé and cared nothing for Luigi. That's why he's suddenly so curt when he reaches that part of his story, and also why he stops talking about the princess when he was so readily singing her praises before.

Dude.... Kefka is a Court Jester or Fool.. the concept of a clown descends from that. The Kings Fool often was a very very brilliant person from within the kingdom as the fool was one of the only people who could theoretically criticize the king to his face. Were he wrong... we all "jape at the fool for being a fool". Part of the job was the skill in delivery... the Fool absolutely could point out to the king when he himself was being absurd though and though the room would laugh it off the king often would take the feedback under advisement. Makes a little more sense why a fallen scientist in close proximity to the king was dressed so now right? Kefka used his position to get a front row seat to the kingdom and struck in the singular moment where the reigns of power were up for grabs for any man present.

I thought Zelda's character arc in TOTK was a nice continuation of her arc from BOTW. She's now my favorite Zelda.
